Terms of Service

These terms apply to everyone who uses Polaris Digital Services (PDS) at pdsnet.uk, including people who only read public documents. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Read these terms alongside our privacy notice, which explains what we hold about you and why.

Polaris Digital Services is an independent digital infrastructure provider. We run an account and document platform for a roleplay community on Roblox.

• Polaris Digital Services is not affiliated with Polaris Studios.
• We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roblox Corporation or Discord Inc.
• Services on the site such as MI6, MI5, the NCA or Government are fictional organisations within a game. They are not connected to any real government, agency or organisation, and nothing on the site is official.

• You must be allowed to use both Roblox and Discord under their own terms, including their minimum age requirements.
• You must link a Roblox account and a Discord account that belong to you.
• You may only have one account. Do not create accounts for other people or to get around a suspension or blacklist.

• Keep your password and any authenticator app or backup codes private. Do not share your account.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell Site Staff straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
• If you lose access, follow the recovery steps on the sign in page. Site Staff may ask you to prove the account is yours before helping.
• Site Staff and above must use two-factor authentication.

When using Polaris Digital Services you must not:

• harass, bully, threaten or discriminate against anyone
• post anything illegal, sexual, hateful or otherwise inappropriate for a platform used by young people
• share anyone's real personal information, such as their real name, address, school, photos or contact details
• pretend to be a real government, agency, organisation or person, or present roleplay content as real
• post real classified, confidential or sensitive information belonging to anyone
• try to get access you have not been given, including testing or bypassing security, rate limits, copy protection or permissions
• use bots, scripts or automated tools to access, scrape or overload the site
• upload malware, or files you do not have the right to share
• break the rules of Roblox, Discord or the community you belong to

Each service is run by members of the community, not by Polaris Digital Services. Service owners and staff decide who can join, what ranks people hold, what documents say and what disciplinary action to take.

• We are not responsible for the decisions a service makes. Raise disagreements with the service's leadership first.
• People who manage a service must use their permissions fairly and only for running that service.
• Site Admins may approve, suspend or delete services that break these terms or are no longer used.
• Site roles do not give access to service documents. In exceptional cases, such as safeguarding or a serious breach of these terms, a Site Admin may use time-limited emergency access. Every use is shown to that service's leadership.

• You keep ownership of the documents, comments and other content you create.
• You give us permission to store, copy and display your content to the people who have access to it, so that the site can work. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies kept under our privacy notice.
• When you write in a document owned by a service, the service may keep using that content after you leave it.
• You must have the right to share anything you upload.

• When you sign a declaration, we record who signed, which version, a fingerprint of its content, the time and your IP address. Only sign declarations you have read.
• Disciplinary records are created by services and Site Admins. They can be revoked but are not silently changed.

Some documents block copying and printing, and some show a watermark with your username. These features discourage leaks and help trace them. They are not perfect security, and trying to get around them breaks these terms.

If you break these terms, Site Staff may, depending on how serious it is:

• remove content
• sign you out of your sessions or reset parts of your account
• suspend your account
• blacklist you from every service on the site

Services may also take their own action under their own rules. If you think a site decision is wrong, contact Site Staff through the community Discord server.

You can ask for your account to be deleted from your account page. Site Admins review requests because some records may need to be kept. How long we keep information is explained in our privacy notice.

• Polaris Digital Services is provided free of charge, as it is, for community use. We aim to keep it running but cannot promise it will always be available, error free or kept forever.
• We may change, pause or stop any part of the site. We may also delete content in line with our retention rules, for example version history and deleted documents.
• Keep your own copies of anything important.

As far as the law allows, Polaris Digital Services is not liable for any loss caused by using or being unable to use the site, by the actions of other users or services, or by content posted by others.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We may update these terms. When we make important changes we will tell users on the site. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
